GRP SMC Panel Type Tanks are made of Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) which comprises of Glass Fibre, Polyester Resins, Catalyst and Fillers. The material is then fed into Hot Pressed Compression Moulding Hydraulic Presses to manufacture compression moulded Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Panels. At this elevated temperature the styrene (Manomer) which is present in the raw material (SMC) gets evaporated thereby making these hot pressed GRP panels highly compatible for storing potable & drinking water.
